Determining a Habitat...

Habitats of the LEAP Region provides a classification scheme and descriptions for all terrestrial, aquatic and urban habitat types represented in our ecoregion. It is designed to walk the user through a series of questions, like a dichotomous key, to determine a habitat. Through four tiers, a user can narrow down their choice from a broad system to a specific plant community. To make full use of the key, plant and environmental data for a given site must be understood.
