Apr 18 Thompson Ledges Hike

2:00 - 5:00 PM Explore the rock ledges and history of this township park that overlooks Lake Erie and the Grand River Valley. The dry northern exposure is habitat to chestnut oak, trailing arbutus, Canada yew and other northern plants while the cool,moist habitat below harbors many species of ferns and wildflowers. With 550 acres in production see over 300 native plants that they have in stock with 3 houses dedicated to bog and marginal plants.
